I have guardianship papers for the children of Issac Laber signed in 1870 Rock Grove, SC, Illinois. The 1860 census has two families--Jacob and Issac- spelled as Lawver both born in PA and the wives from Lippe-Detmold. The 1870 census has the spelling Labar but the papers I have the surname is spelled Laber.
Guardianship was given to an ancestor of mine, unknown if any relationship.
