Hi Dave,

Not sure but I think I may be able to help. I've been trying to search my dad's roots and it looks like he may be the son of one of your unknown brothers. I've been told my gfather, James, came to the US in the early 20's with a brother (Tom, I think). One went up north and the other, my grandfather, settled in Philadelphia PA. I don't know anything about the family and I don't think my gf ever saw his family again. His trade, however, was house painter/decorator, if that helps at all. He was born in 1897, I believe, and died in 1945 of tuberculosis. He had four children (maybe some of their names will tie in to your family): John Joseph, Colleen Theresa, Agnes and Daniel. Only Theresa, as we call her, is still alive. They were raised Catholic. Let me know if any of this helps you in your search. If so, you're a Godsend to me!
