I am the great great granddaughter of Brigid Kirwan, born 1856 or 1857 at Graiguearush, Wateford, Ireland.

Until a couple of years ago, we thought she was born in "Gregrush", but that's understandable, with pronunciation.

Graiguearush is a townland of 322 acres in the County: Waterford, in the Barony: Decies without Drum, in the Parish: Fews, in the PLU: Kilmacthomas, in the Province: Munster - according to my research.

Brigid Kirwan was, I believe, the daughter of John Kirwan & Anne Murray?

Brigid Kirwan married John Stephens at Port Douglas, north Queensland, Australia on 6th June 1883.

She died 1892 or 1893 at Irvinebank, north Queensland, Australia.

I do not know why Brigid went to Australia.
