Rebecca, Your question: Where did Hose die? Hosea Kilpatrick died on August 16, 1974 in the hospital in Bonifay, Florida (Holmes County). He was buried in Westville Cemetery in Westville, Florida in Holmes County. --- Your question: Do you have his obit or can we get it? No, I don’t have a copy of his obituary. Sadly, the way my father learned of his father’s death was through the Holmes Advertiser that he subscribed to. (My father lived most of his adult life in Sturgis, Michigan and Burr Oak, Michigan.) The Holmes County Advertiser is a small local monthly newspaper that's based in Bonifay, Florida. --- Your comment: Give the years that some of these people lived or died, maybe I can help you. Which people do you mean specifically? Do you mean my foster grandparents? ---- Your question: Did Hose stay with his family after his wife died? Unfortunately, that’s a big blank space for me. It seems I recall my uncle, (John) Wesley Kilpatrick, 2nd oldest of Hosea’s children, explaining that the youngest children (my uncle, Wilmer Glenval and my father were put up for adoption because he didn’t have the means to take care of 2 small children. After that, Hosea and my father didn’t actually meet again until he was 7 years old. --- Your question: When and where were you born? I was born March 19, 1951, at the home of my foster grandparents. The house was part of a little community called Darlington, Florida. Two of my sisters were born in that same house. Any help you can give me in filling in blanks would be very much appreciated.
