I have already seen the ship Excelsior datas.
I have quite a lot of Kemmet, Kemmet, Kimmet(t), Kemmit(t) or Kimmit(t) (variation of the same name), for the Tawnagh paris of Co Sligo which really seems to be the homeland of most Irish Kemmet(t)s.
None of the Wisconcin Kemmets appear there, but they might not have been recorded, or might have been christened in another parish.
However, Roger was a very common christian name among theses people, but not a widespread name at the time in Ireland.

- A Roger Kemmitt was growing flax in 1796 in Co Leitrim, near Co Sligo.

- A Roger Kemmitt was a farmer in Sligo (village of Coolbock) during the land valuation of 1858.
