Actually much of the information you found was information I researched and submitted to the Freelove Rootsweb world connect site, I am surprised they didn't mention me as the source. Not that I need credit for it Just if somebody might contact me if they had further information. ==================================================== As you indicated: 1)Flora MC CREERY b. in abt 1860 in IA Flora was very active in Society groups. Including The Columbia Heights Art Club and was President of the Escelslor Literary Club. In Washington D.C. 2)Julia (Lulu E. /Louise?) MC CREERY b. in abt 1869 in IA. m. May 1891 in Baltimore, Maryland Arthur B. SPERRY b. abt 1865. Lived in Pittsburgh in 1905 and at 1255 New Hampshire Ave, Washington D.C. in about 1924. 1255 New Hampshire Ave seems to be the address of and apartment building called the "Hamilton House". near George Washington University and Dupont Circle. Arthur's parent were, Andrew Fuller SPERRY b: in Knoxville, Iowa Mother: Hannah Lavilla BASSETT b: 11 Apr 1841 in Plymouth, Ohio Arthur was Vice Consul for USA, Journalist and a Broker. Both Lulu and Arthur died Aft. 1915 or 1925 in probably in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania? or Washington D.C unless they retired to IA. I suspect Lulu died in D.C. in or after 1924. But in the same year "1924" Washington Post, 1924-08-08 In equity court: No. 10460. Lun In re Loretta ~W. McCreery; Louise E. Sperry appointed committee; bond, $5.000. (Probably her daughter Lulu) =============================================== I am not positive but I think Lulu and Arthur were divorced and the child they raised some of the time was either there own daughter or a daughter from her first marrage or the daughter of her sister. ============================================== Loretta W. McCreery - died Mar 14, 1925 - widow of John L. McCreery, mother of Mrs. Arthur Bassett Sperry and grandmother of Mrs. Charles H. Moore (Blanche b. abt 1896). It gets a little scketchy.......... Blanche may be the dau. of Mr. Jacobson? or Arthur SPERRY, she lived in Washington DC. in 1910 with here grandparents and withe her mother sometime after that and went by Sperry or Moore but she was a widow, Her husband may have died in WW1? or he took of on her.............. I don't know what happed to Arthur or Lulu either...... I think they either died in PA or DC, seems somebody with such a high profile would have a large obit Somewhere! Thank you for trying......... Best regards Kurt Notify Administrator about this message?
