My ancestor is James Jacobson. His father was called Esco Jacobson. Can anyone give me any clues as to the origins of the name Esco or where the London Jacobsons may have originated from? Esco was born just before 1728, other than that I have no other information. James married Mary Mitchell in St Benet, Pauls wharf London. 5th July 1722.
They had a daughter Mary Jacobson who married Thomas Hunt (lawyer) at St Botolph, Aldgate in 1758. Any help appreciated on tracing these Jacobsons..
