I have an original carte de visite photograph of “George Jacobs”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Winthrop (Kennebec Co.) Maine, and he looks to be about mid 30s.
I found George C. Jacobs, age 8, born Maine, in the 1860 census for Monmouth (Kennebec Co.) ME, son of Bailey Jacobs, age 50, and wife Lucy A. Jacobs, age 41. Winthrop and Monmouth are very, very close.
