After looking at the 1840 MS census it does seem that Shadrack is the most likely father of Meshack. I came across another posting recently where someone had mentioned that two of Shadrack's sons had gone to Texas, although they did not know which of the sons that was. Also, I do think that Shadrack was living in Alabama about the time that Meshack was born which would match the census documents for Meshack. I have not seen where the brothers of Shadrack lived in Alabama.
