Joshua Jacobs was in Jackson County, Florida the same time as John Jacobs, 1830 Census. Joshua was 30-40 years of age. John was 50-60.
Joshua was born in SC in 1792 according to his 1850 Union Co., LA census. John would have been born 1770-1780.
Just a further mention: There was a Sgt. Joshua Jacobs on the Revolutionary War Roll for South Carolina.
