A desperate & probably futile posting but here goes ...
Looking for any family relations to ANGUS McLEAN INGLIS, born 25 July 1924
married AGNES DONALDSON sometime around 1947,
had 1 child, JAMES HAYDEN INGLIS (sorry, another James!) born 1 October 1947,
emmigrated to AUSTRALIA 1955 on ship STRATHNAVER which left UK on 17 May 1955.
Oral family history says ANGUS was ADOPTED (possibly by an Aunt).
AGNES DONALDSON came from a large family in KIRKMUIHILL, LANARKSHIRE.
Both Gus & Ness (ANGUS & AGNES) have passed on.
I am the mother of their granddaughters, SHARON & LAURA INGLIS, looking to make a start on their Scottish Family History & finding it rather difficult from AUSTRALIA.
If these names mean anything to anyone I would be eternally grateful for a reply! Kind Regards, Lynn
