I just found a second article DROPS DEAD Wichita Patrolman on Vacation Becasue fo Injuries Dies at Blackwell Information reached Mrs. Horsely, 522 South Topeka avenue, yesterday morning, that her husband George Horsley, a policeman on the Wichita force, dropped dead at Blackwell Okla., at 9 o'clock Wednesday night. He was at the home of his son and shortly after eatign a hearty supper, fell out of his chair dead. Heart disease is thuoght to have caused his death. Mr Horsley reached Blackwell Wednesday morning. He had been excused from duty by Chief Cubbon, on account of an injury to his arem, sustaind when he was thrown from the running board of the police automobile, while making a run, last week. He went to Blackwell, his former home to visit his son until he recoverd the use of his arm. He ahd been in poor health for several weeks. Mr. Horsley was appoined to a position on thepolice force here, while Lincol McKinlay was chief and had been in the service since. He worked as a police officer at blackwell for eight years adn for a long time at Wellington, in the same capacity. He is survived by Mrs. Horsley and two sons and one daughter. Last November he joined the Sons and Daughters of Justice lodge hera dn carried $2,000 insurance in that socielty at the time of his death. Is is probable that the funeral will be held at Blackwell.
