Thanks for all that information Karen - however, unless any of these marriages took place in Northumberland they are very unlikely to be "my" John HORSLEY. The family were pretty well entrenched in Northumberland for the next couple of hundred years. However, if you were looking for details relating to a James HORSLEY - did he come originally from Northumberland? It is a name that occurs many times in our HORSLEY family - often together with the name Thomas as my 3 x gt grandfather - Thomas James HORSLEY. Where I am now living in the Derbyshire/ Nottinghamshire area there are also a lot of HORSLEY families. Do you know where your James was from?
