Judith; You are right on with your assumption that the Daniel Groscost who married Elizabeth Bowser is the same who later married Christina Decker, who then died quiet young and unexpectedly in 1822. the Groscost, Bowser and Decker farms are all very near one another. It would appear that both wives and Daniel are near to the same age, with the assumption that Daniel was near his early twenties when he married and began propagating, as his first three children were born soon after 1800. There is an Elizabeth Bowser born in the same area in 1791 to Noah Bowser. I assume this to be Daniel's first wife. Christina was born in 1793. She stayed in the area, living with children till she died and was buried in New Oxford. Elizabeth's first child is my ancestor, Jesse.
