I think we may be working on the same Gabriel family. My John Gabriel was born 1825 and had a son named Abraham. He also had a son born 1850 named John. His second wife was S. Elizabeth. I believe she was married to a Rutherford, since she had a son named Ben Rutherford in the 1880 census. She and John had several daughters Mary Ann, Martha, Mahala, and Florence. There is another daughter but I can't remember her name. But they lived in Cooper Co. Mo. in 1880. I don't have all my info in front of me, but can email you what I have.
