Karen, I've been reviewing all the messages on this site
and some information I posted was incorrect. A.J. married
Amanda MOCK. She was born 1 January 1839, probably in Berks
Co. PA. Amanda was a daughter of Jesse Mock and Elizabeth (?) Jesse was born in 1814 and Elizabeth in 1817. In 1850
they are in Lower Towamwnsing Twp. Carbon Co. In 1860. in
Kidder Twp. Carbon Co. P.O. Saylorsville, just "up the road
a piece" from Jesse and family. In 1870 they
are in Sterling Twp. Wayne Co. PA. By 1880 they are in
Winfield Boro, Union Co. PA. Amanda died prior to 1900 and
is buried with A.J. in Montoursville Cemetery. Jesse was
a son of John Mock and Rachel. I think her maiden name was
Chestnutwood and she's buried in St. Paul's Lutheran
Church in Franklin Twp, Carbon Co. A.J. remarried after
Amanda died, to Emma Buck of Montoursville.According to
my Aunt Eleanor, Emma was heartily disliked by all. A.J.
died 13 March 1905.
