Hi, Kathy,
Richard Ethell married Lorinda Curtis; they were my grandparents. Richard was born in Malton, Yorkshire, England. He emigrated to the US about 1883. His first wife was Martha Francis by whom he had six children; the sixth one died about the same time Martha did. He then married Lorinda Curtis and had 5 children. My father was the fifth.
They divorced and all the children were adopted by other families. Feel free to contact me at rockingw3@juno.com. Dorothy is my first cousin although we have never met.
