Hi, sorry so long to reply, have been out of town. The name of the town is wrong. It was a misunderstanding by a fellow researcher. I put the information into my files and now am unable to remove the incorrect file. So many people will get the incorrect information from my family tree but there is nothing I can do. There is a lot of correct information in my files so I can only hope that the right information can help fill in some blanks. Are you in my Drayton line? I have not been able to find anything about William Drayton's parents or where he came from. I found a "Mr. Drayton" and family arriving in Philly but no other information is available on the ships information. I have not been able to find any Draytons in that area in in the census or any where else that could possible fit. It is like he dropped out of the sky and landed in NY and joined the service.
