FYI: "The Post and Courier" (Charleston, SC, I think) had a major newspaper article, 1 of 3, on Drayton Hall mansion. Seems John Drayton moved into his new plantation mansion in 1742, located on the west side of Ashley River north of the intersection of I-526 and SC61 at Charleston, SC. One of the pictures show Charles H. Drayton with his wife, Eliza Gann, and their children Charles, Eliza and Charlotta. No dates were given other than Charlotta died in 1969 and The National Trust for Historic Preservation bought the home from her heirs in 1974. If interested, suggest you check out their web site: www.draytonhall.org , Lots of stuff there! I would be interested in info on Eliza Gann as Gann is one of my lines. Thanks Toby
