Hi, John! This is an almost desperation follow-up message to your posting. I hope that I am not taking up your time for no reason. My gggrandmother was Caroline Elizabeth Curlee (1826 - 1900). She was born in either SC or GA, according to census records. During her marriage to W. C. Roper, my gggrandfather, she lived in Marion County, AL. Following his death in the Civil War, she relocated to Lee County, MS, to be near her family. She is buried in the Saltillo Cemetery, Saltillo, Lee County, MS. I know nothing about her family at all. I noticed that your posting mentioned GA and thought that, possibly, you might have run across something in your work that might mention this individual. Also, I noted the mention of the name "Caroline" in your posting and, as you know, sometimes these names do filter down thru family lines. If you have the time, please feel free to either respond to this message or email me directly. If we can establish a connection, I do have information about the Roper line that descended from this marriage should that be something that you would want. Thank you in advance!
