Joan, I'm interested in the Almond families of Claiborne parish, La. My 2nd g-grandmother was Anne Eliza Almond, born July 02, 1840 in Harris co., GA and died March 18, 1912 in Homer, Claiborne parish, La. She married first James Kidd and second Willis Jarrell. Daughter of Isaac Almond of Ga.

Her sisters, Mary Frances Almond Hightower and Georgia and Martha Almond Fortson were also in Claiborne parish. She also had double first cousins there and in Webster parish.

Any connection to your Almonds?

Also, I'm trying to find the parentage of a Francis Barto Bridgeman who married a Hough in Claiborne parish. Does that Bridgeman name ring a bell?
