I'm trying to get more info on the Carmeans of the South. James Lewis Carmeans b.1864 d.1939, married Chaktaw(sp?)woman named Annie. Any info on when the name changed to Carmeans from Cremeans/Cromean/Cremeen, or when they moved to Mississippi?
