Arfaxed Crane or Arfaxion Crane as his father's estate records list him was born in Vermont abt 1808, married Lovinia, and had at least these children: James S., Myron G., Edgar, Rebecca L., Sarah E., Mary E.. He started out in Vermont, moved with his parents to New York, went on into Illinois, probably after a very brief goodbye to his parents in Michigan, then on into Illinois, and Wisconsin, where I found him.
As the estate says, he was heard to be in Iowa as of the early late 1860's but I know little of this.
I am trying to get in touch with his descendants.
I have some information on his paretage.
His parents were Samuel and Polly Crane. Polly being born in Connecticut in abt 1782 and dying in Gennesse County, Michigan on 30 November 1862. Samuel was born abt 1780 in unknown, and died 12 February 1848 in Napoleon Township, Jackson County, Michigan.
