Just wondering the stories told by other branches of the Craddock family.
I was told that two Craddock brothers, Pleasant and Robert, immigrated from either Scotland or Wales (this information came from my Great Grandfather, the Rev. E.P. Craddock, who was b. 1864). I have corresponded with a distant cousin who had been told that there were three Craddock brothers, including Pleasant and Robert, who were the immigrants. She remembers being told that Pleasant had a very definite "Scottish brogue." I have also heard of five Craddock brothers immigrating, with at least one moving to Canada. Some believe the brothers may have been Willaim and Robert Craddock, often described as "kinsmen," who arrived in Virginia in the early 1600s.
We know Pleasant was born in Virginia, the son of Moses Craddock. Where did these stories come from? Has anyone else been told similar stories? A comparison of these may shed informative light on one of our quests.
