My maiden name was Mary Considine. I've been trying to track down my dad's parents - both born in Ireland. What I have found is that he emigrated to the US in 1888 and she in 1892. My cousin thought they were married in Lowell, MA around 1896-97 (1st child born in 1898). We located them in the 1900 census in Chicago, Il.which is where I am from originally. We think my dad's father was Anthony born in Ennis-Ennistyman in 1864 or 1870. He married Margaret Mary McCarthy also from Ireland. I have sent for death certificates and checked to see if there is a marriage license in Lowell for them. Also we are going to Chicago and will visit the cemetery where they are buried. Anthony died young - 1909.
I hope to hear from you - we don't know if he came alone or what?
