I am researching Mahala Cooper who married William Hayes Conger in New York. They had 2 children: Allen born about 1847 in NY and Elsie b about 1854 in Illinois. William died in Illinois, probably LaSalle County, in 1859 in his early 30's. In 1860 she and the children were in Brookfield, La Salle, Illinois. Mahala later married Henry Ward. Mahala Cooper was born in NY about 1827. I am searching for info on her parents etc. Elsie married Edward Robinson.
