Dear Mr. Conger
I am interested in my family history especially because I am a history major and decided to look into my Mothers side of the family. My Mother was born in May of 1935 to Helen Lockwood and Charles Conger. My mother was unable to cope with her mother Helen and her relationship to her father was ruined beause of Helens behavior as far as I am told. She married my father in the 60's his name was Salvatore Santagato. I know that my grandfather Charles was associated with the Armstrog Tile Co. and that he holds a patent for an adhessive used to place tiles on the floor. I believe that Franklin P. Conger who was an Admiral in the Navy was his brother. The Congers and my mother are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx N.Y.
My Mothers maiden name was Jean Lockwood Conger she died in October of 1973 due to complications associated with alchol my father had died some years earlier over a dispute in a bar where he worked. There has been much tragedy in my family but we are here still and trying to establish our families. I myself have two children now and my daughter resembles the Conger attributes of very fair skin and light hair as well as a stubborn personality. I would apprciate it if you can tell me anything that would help me in my quest for knowledge of my detracted family. Thank you for your time and understanding. If you have any questions I'm sure I can answer most of them.
