Hello, I have been working on this colvin line for a long. I have uncovered quiet abit of information during this. I Would be willing to share about John Colvin and sarah Fairchild.
I have took a 8 year break. You can get burn't out. I Will give you a sample. John census record for floyd co 1820 his age indicates he would of been born around 1775. I suspect. Show's one male 45 years old or older on there.
Allen his son born 1811 Tenn..John is believed to be from Tenn. John Colvin served under Captain James Hawkins 1799 in the lee co Virginia Rangers. These counties bordered with Tenn.
John Colvin and Abuid Fairchild is on Wastington Va Co cenus 1810. This county bordered with Lee co Va and bordered with Tenn. John Colvin reports having a wife and 3 kids.
The kids hast to be the Curtis children. Then Apparently Allen is born in 1811 in Tenn. So this starts to make sense. The Kentucty census Johns' children state their father is from Tenn and Allen born in Tenn.
Abuid didn't mention this in the pention hearing and testamony in floyd co ky, he may wanted to hide this?
