Seeking information on Lewis Collins born 1758 in NC and son, Elisha Collins b. 1788 in NC. Lewis is in the Dooly
Co., GA Cesus as early as 1830 and Elisha can be found in the 1840 Census for Dooly Co., GA.
In 1830 Lewis lived next door to Williamson Cox. In 1850 Doss (Dawson Russell) Collins b. 1834 Dooly Co., GA., son of William H. Collins (b. 1783 NC) was living in the Williamson Cox household.
The name Dawson Russell (Doss) has been used in the Collins Family for several generations. Does anyone know with whom the name originated? It has been used in both Elisha's and William H.'s descendants families.
Is William Henry Collins also a son of Lewis?
William Henry Collins lived in Dooly, Mitchell and Thomas (now Grady) Co.'s in Georgia.
Any information on these families would be appreciated.

Any information
