I am still looking for my Aaron Collins. He was born somewhere in Virgina about 1822 or before. I have no idea who his parents were, or where in Virginia he was born. I don't know if he came with his parents to Indiana or by himself, but there was a John Collins living with him on the census who was also born in VA. about 1802. He could have been his father or his brother. Aaron married in Eugene Twp. Vemillion Co. Indiana in 1843, to Virginia Bowman. Her children later claimed her maiden name was Fultz, so she may have been married before. There were several children born in Indiana before they moved to Illinois. They lived in Piatt Co. for a short while, and then settled in Vermilon Co. Illinois. Aaron's children were:
William M. married Roena A.
George L. married Catharine Bowes and then Katie L. Boehm
Mary J. married J. Edward Elmore
Albert Newton married Sarah M. Turner, then Sarah Jane Hancock,then Moranda Monroe Kirkwook (a widow) - my line goes through Sarah Hancock. I have lots of information down to the present, as well as going back through Sarah Hancock to the Farrar Family of the Virginia Colonies.
John C. Collins married Lizzie Bowes
Ada Emily Collins married Joseph W. Rundle. She died 1889.
Roena Collins married Robert B.Jones
Martha Collins married Irvin B. Pullium
