Wimberk and Nancy (nee Collings/Collins)Boney migrated to Sumter Co. AL. (It was still Monroe Co., I think, at the time they migrated.) They took their own children with them, but I have not identified a group migration from Duplin Co., NC.
In Duplin Co. the Boneys (Swiss Boni) lived near and intermarried regularly with the Teacheys (Ger. Tietschke and var. spellings who were Palatine immigrants), the Wells (earlier thought to have been Swiss but probably not), and the Fillyaws (Fr. Filiau and var. spellings, probably Huguenots), but none of these families went to AL. That makes me think that something about Wimberk's marriage set him apart and prompted him to leave NC. (Wimberk was a transcription of the Swiss/German name Weinbert. They came from Frenkendorf near Basel.)
