Dear Jackie
I'm late to this thread so I don't know if it's still active or not. I've followed my family tree back to Robert Collinge of Middleton.
Here is what I have on him:
Robert Collinge of Middleton (b ?, d ?) has three sons:
o John (b ?, d 1832) my ancestor, marries Nanny(1785 - 1844) has son James (1810 – 1895), also my ancestor. Also daughter Hannah and probably others
o James Snr of Kinnerton Lodge (1788 - 1870) marries widow Betsy Wright (Lees), has son James (b 1823, d ?), becomes mayor of Oldham – father and son live at Kinnerton Lodge. Also has a daughter who marries Mr George Barlow.
o Giles (b ?, d 1836)
I've read all the postings and none match the above. I would dearly love to hear from anyone who help me fill the gaps or who connects into this too.
