I have been doing research for my boyfriend Rodger Thompson. His grandmother was Janette Clemmons who was married to John Lee Thompson. (I was told that the family remembered that Janette's brother Nelson lived in Hanover Ind.)In the 1930 census, Nelson (born in Indiana 1884-1885)and his wife Maud is living next door to his parents Charles Clemmons and Emma. In 1920 census Nelson and Maud are living with Charles and Emma. In 1910 Jannette (born in Minnesota aprox. 1884) is in Chicago Ill. In 1910 Nelson is in Los Angeles Ca. 1920 Janette is in Los Angeles (Nelson has returned to Indiana)

The father "Charles" Clemmons was born aprox. 1851 and I have been able to get the ages to match on all of the following census records which leads me to his parents:

1930 in Hanover Ind. age 79, 1920 in Hanover Ind. age 69, 1910 in Hanover Ind. age 59, could not find them for 1900 census, but did appear in 1880 in Lorain Min. age 29 (married to Emma) In 1870 in Bethlehem Indiana age 19 living with his mother Sarah(age 45 born in Indiana, her parents born in England)The other siblings listed were James, John, Fannie, and Junius. In the 1860 census in Chicago Ill. Charles is age 10. His parents were Leondias D. Clemmons and Sarah. Leondias was listed as a physician, age 41 born in N.C. Finally the 1850 census in Charlestown Indiana Has Leonidas D. Clemmons age 30, born in N.C. a Physician married to Sarah age 26 born in Indiana. Their son James age 2 born in Indiana. The initial "T" clemmons (female) age 25 born in Indiana. Mary Clemmons age 23 born in Indiana. and Finally Martha Stevens age 16 born in Indiana.

Now if there would happen to be anyone to help me fill in the blanks, it would be greatly appreciated! I have seen the Clemmons family site and have gotten information from that, but I would like to get more specifics as well as information if possible regarding more current history. Thank you in advance!
