Thanks for that info. I have been trying to find someone fora long time to confirm that P O Clement was the same person as Bluford Clement, father of Dewey. I have found census records for Bluford for 1900, 1910, and 1920, and was sure that Dewey was his son, but several people kept giving me info that Dewey was the son of P.O. Clement.
Are you related to this family? I have been corresponding for many years with Maurice Clement, a descendant of Maron Don Clement, brother of Bluford "P O" Clement. Maurice didn't know anything about Bluford being the real name of P O Clement.
I am related to this family through William Wesley Clement, brother of Mannan Clement, who moved to Grayson Co.TX from AR in the early 1840s. My gg-grandfather, William Wesley Clement moved to nearby Lamar Co. TX from AR with his eight children after his wife died in 1850 in Madison Co. AR. My great-grandfather was William Clement, youngest son of William Wesley Clement.
