My great grandfather's sister Ann Pickup (born 1866 -Woodplumpton, Lancashire), married Richard Clegg (born 1886 Huncoat, Lancashire). Richard is the son of Jonathan Clegg (born Hapton, Lancahire)and Elizabeth. There are many Clegg siblings (Betsy, James, Ormerod, Margaret, Mary and George) plus half siblings (John Thomas, Martha, Joseph and Rebecca), the children of Jonathan's second wife Mary. For many years the family lived at Spout House Farm Huncoat. The lane leading to the farm is now know as Clegg's Lane. Richard and Ann married in 1899 at St James Church in Church, Lancashire. Their first child Minnie was born in 1900. In 1901 the family were still living at Spout House Farm with step mother Mary, half brother Joseph and a grandaughter Rebecca. Anyone know anything about these "Cleggs" or their descendants?
