I checked the book The Seven Generations.... and found the following on page 121:
Samuel Chase (#178) (Aquilla, James, Thomas) born in what is now Newburryport, MA 21 Jan 1747/48 died abut 1821 Burlington,VT. Married abut 1765 Mary Conner who died soon afer the birth of son Oliver.
2nd marriage in Methuen 6 July 1769,Sarah Bowley, dau of John & Eliz Bowley b 31 Mayh 1746. He was a Revolutionary soldier from Newbury 1775 & 76 and applied for a pension 24 Apr 1818. He lived in Colchester, VT where in 1790 he was head of a family, consisting of one male over 16 years of age, 3 males under 16 and three females (Vt census 24) Later he removed to Burlington, VT, about 1791 where he died. His wife was living 5 Jun 1820, aged 73.

Oliver b 5 Dec 1768; sea captain; owned 5 ships; d. unm; lived in Boston.
Second wife
Sarah,b abut 1770; m. Daniel Morehouse
Polly, b abut 1773;m unk Tomlinson
Josiah, b 23 Mar 1781; m Amy Morehouse
Jacob b 9 Jan 1786: m Bestsey Converse. Lived in grand Isle, VT
John; m Sarah Morehouse; lived in Colchester VT
I don't know if this will help, it is very close to what you have listed. So far this is the only Samuel I have been able to fine... do you know his father?
