Seth S. Chase was born at Sutton, Mass., 1 April 1781, son of Josiah Chase and Hannah Goddard, who were married at Grafton, Mass. 28 May 1772. [published VRs of respective towns]. Josiah probably belongs under Aquila Chase of Hampton and Newburyport, rather than William of Roxbury, but I don't have the Seven Generations book at hand.

If you do a word search of this forum using "Goddard," you will get some previous posts that deal with Josiah and his family, who apparently moved to NY around 1791.
