To clearly and specifically identify this couple for the benefit of you and other researchers, this is Lieut. William(3) Chamberlain [Jacob(2), William(1)], born c1697, Cambridge, Middlesex Co., MA, d. about May 1753, Rochester, Strafford Co., NH (buried in Old Cemetery on Meeting House Hill there), whose wife was Mary Tebbetts (or Tibbetts), (c1700-after 1760), daughter of Capt. Samuel Tebbetts and Dorothy Tuttle. They were married about 1719, Dover Neck, Strafford Co., NH; there are 10 known children recorded for them, mostly in Dover and Rochester, Strafford Co., NH, between 1720 & 1742. William(3) Chamberlain is identified as #LN8523 in the formally prepared Family Group Records (FGRs) of the late Chamberlain genealogist, David Conrad Chamberlin, Sr., of Salt Lake City (not a relative) - Bill Mennel (Bill and I are also unrelated to this William line), who also answered your posting, maintains copies of these FGRs on behalf of the World Chamberlain Genealogical Society - you can probably obtain copies of them from him, if you wish. They contain very detailed information, I see. I have also use these FGR records here, cross-referenced in the Chamberlain lineages I've created. I see that my own records for your William(3) line contain about 11 pages (a Descendant Tree listing with about 500 names) of descendants of William(3) - descendants are listed for as many as 9 more generations in various branches - including a few living persons. You are welcome to contact me via Email for additional detailed discussion of this information if you wish, and we can compare notes versus the "hand written and typed papers" you have there, if you would like. I'd be interested, of course, to learn exactly how you fit into this line, and to learn more about your Chamberlain family in more recent generations. James B. Parker <jbparker@provide.net>.
