I am trying to trace the ancestors of Joseph Chamberland and Josephine LaRose of Detroit & Monroe, MI. Any info available would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
Joseph, of French-Canadian descent, reported born 1747 (Denissen text) but possibly born c1770, probably in Canada or Detroit; probably died St. Antoine River Basin, Monroe, Michigan. Josephine LaRose, reported of Native American descent, born c1770 probably Canada or Mich; died 12Jan1829 St. Antoine, Monroe, MI.
Children born Detroit, MI include Louis b1795, Catherine b1798, Julia b1799, Mary Louisa b1801, Peter b1803, Joseph b1805, Elizabeth Ann b1807, Francis b1809, Elizabeth b1811, possibly Monique b. c1798.
