Looking for info on a Jeremiah Chamberlain (age 60)listed in the 1820 census of Nobleboro Maine with his wife Sarah (?). His occupation was given as "farmer." It also stated that he served 3 years in Capt. Wells' Co., Col. Webb's Continental Line and was at the Battle of Jamestown at the taking of Cornwallis. The 1810 Nobleboro census gives the household as 2 males under 10, 1 male 10-16, 1 male 45 or older, 1 female 10-16, 1 female 16-26, 1 female 26-45. Vital Records of Nobleboro list two of his children as son Ira b. 8-1793 in Embden and a daughter Cynthia b. abt 1805 who appears to have never married. Regarding Ira, the Nobleboro records state that he came to Damariscotta (then part of Nobleboro) in 1805. LSD lists a Jeremiah Chamberlin christened March 23,1760 at Pepperell, Middlesex, Massachusetts and says he is the son of William and Mary Chamberlin. I know LSD is unreliable, so I am keeping that in mind when posting this. I'm curious about this family as I'm trying to identify my g-g-g-g-grandmother Elizabeth Chamberlain (b. abt 1755) who married Amos Moody of Nobleboro in 1778.
