I am searching for the parents of William Challender born 1862 Wigan Lancashire England. On the 1881 census his name was spelled Challinor ..mother Betty??. On the 1901 census his name was spelled Challender. AND when he was married his name was William Hampson. He was illeg and took his mothers maiden name. William married Annie Ord born 1868...married in Hartlepool. Does anyone have anything on these names? I could surely use some help.
