For a social history of New England I am writing, I am looking at the 16th Massachusetts regiment in the Civil War and its first commander, Col. Powell T. Wyman. I'm interested in anything about Powell and his parents, Oliver and Helen, and her father, a comedian named Snelling Powell. I have Powell's civil war pension applications and some genealogical information, but I really need more details to bring this part of the book alive.
