Catherine Slusher White, 83, of Rogersville, Hawkins Co
TN, formally of Wallins Creek, KY, went to be with the
Lord on Saturday June 6, 2009, at Church Hill Health Care
and Rehab.

She was born on March 16, 1926, to the late George and
Mahala Brock Slusher in Twila, KY. She married Perry
White, Sr. on July 17, 1944. She lived in Louisville, KY,
for several years, but then moved back to Wallins in 1974
and stayed until she moved to Rogersville, TN, to live
with her daughter. She was a life long Christian, who
believed in and trusted on Jesus with all her heart.

Along with her parents, she was met at the gates of Heaven
by her husband, Perry White, Sr.; her son, Perry White,
Jr.; her grandson, Staff Srgt. Dale White; her brothers,
Rosevelt Slusher, Kenneth Slusher, and Delmar Slusher; one
sister, June Saylor.

She is survived by her 'baby', the daughter of her heart,
Tressa Fisher and husband Daniel; grandsons, Perry D.
White and wife Brenda and Robert C. White and wife Megan;
great-grandchildren, Chelsea White, Nicholas Fisher, Chris
Couch, Stormy White, Shelby White, Seth White, Erica White
and Kady White; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters,
Toni Coldiron and Georgia Blaylock; brother, Paul Slusher,
sisters-in-law, Sis Slusher and Alene Slusher; daughter-in-
law, Hazel Blincoe; granddaughter-in-law, Michelle White;
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to issue a special thank you to the
nurses and staff of Church Hill Health Care and Rehab for
the loving care that they gave Mommy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, from
12 p.m. until 2 p.m., at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home in
Harlan, KY. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Billy
Ray Courtney officiating.

Graveside services will follow the funeral service at Rest
Haven Cemetery in Loyall, KY.

The staff of Oak Hill is honored to serve the family of
Catherine Slusher White.
