William Homer SHAFER was born in Indiana April 26, 1884. He married a woman named Bertha in either Kansas or Oklahoma. Her parents were from Switzerland. William and Bertha are both buried in the Shelton Cemetery, Shelton, NE. William died Aug. 1, 1976, and Bertha died Nov. 25, 1969. William and Bertha had the following children: Bessie M., b. abt. 1905 in OK Lucy E., b. abt. 1907 in OK Ruth V., b. abt. 1909 in OK Ethel A., b. abt. 1912 in OK William R., b. abt. 1914 in OK Carl E., b. abt. 1916 in KS Thomas W., b. abt. 1918 in KS Jack F., b. abt. 1921 in KS Betty J., b. abt. 1923 in KS Walter H., b. abt 1927 in NE Dorothy J., b. June 18, 1929 in NE Dorothy married Robert ELLIS in Ord, NE. They moved to Sacramento, California where Dorothy died June 19, 1994. Would like to fill in the many blanks on the other children of Wm. and Bertha, along with Bertha's maiden name and the parentage of both she and William. Kaylynn Ellis Loveland
