To you know the "Kid McCoy" story? I think he's from your line, son of Francis Marion SELBY & Mary CAMPBELL. Google "Norman Selby" +"Kid McCoy" He only had seven wives, but he did marry ten times: 1894, Lottie PICHLER 1897, Charlotte SMITH 1897, Julia [WOODRUFF] CROSSELMIRE, div. 1899 remarried 1900 and divorced 1902, remarried 1902 and divorced 1903. 1903 Indianola ARNOLD 1905, Mrs. Estelle ELLIS, div. 1901 1911 Edna [VALENTINE] HEIN 1920 Dagmar DAHLGREN, div. 1921 1937, Sue [COBB] COWLEY. Francis M. was son of John A. SELBY (1808, KY - 1848, Rush Co., IN) & Julia WOOD (m. 30 Jan. 1831, Rush Co., IN, per online Indiana State Library database). John A. was son of John SELBY (10 Feb. 1783, Worc. Co. MD - 26 Oct. 18[71?], Rush Co., IN) & Annie McCALLIE. John was son of Wm. Atkinson SELBY (Nov. 1757, Worc. Co., MD - 2 Aug. 1809, Bourbon Co., KY) & Sarah White TOWNSEND, dau/o (Wm.) Barkley TOWNSEND. Information came from Marden GRUBB (8 Sep. 1907 - Dec. 1983, Shelbyvile, Shelby, IN).
