Thanks for replying Steven, I can't find anything for the connection to Clan MacFarlane either. But I did find this on Ulster Ancestry: A Sample of Irish Family Names (http://www.ulsterancestry.com/irish-surnames.html): --------------------------------------------------- ROBB Origins in Ulster: Scottish Plantation The name is Scottish and more properly MacRobb from Robb the Scottish pet name for Robert. The MacRobbs of Duror in Argyll were a sept of the Stewarts of Appinn.
