Any information about my Pulham ancestors of Harwich, England would be greatly appreciated. The earliest Pulhams about which much is known are Francis Pulham (1702-1765), a customs official, and his wife Susanna Skinner (b. 1705). Francis Pulham was born on 22 March 1702 and baptised on 5 April 1702 at St Nicholas, Harwich. He was the son of Mary and Francis Pulham, baker. His father Francis was buried at St Nicholas on 6 February 1706. Francis Pulham's son, Francis (1728-1799 or 1805) and his wife Mary Scott lived in London, before retiring back to Harwich. Their son William (1761-1819) lived in London, and his son William (1787-1867) served at sea in the Hon East India Company before migrating to Australia and NZ. |
