The Tn DC for Martha Jane Perry Martin [married Robert D Martin] b March 15, 1863 in Bedford County, TN, lists a Drury Perry and Mary Ayers as parents. In the 1870 census Martha J Perry is enumerated with Thomas H and Telitha Ayers in Bedford County, while Lucy E Perry [PROBABLY SISTER] is enumerated in the nearby household of William M Ayers and wife Nellie, parents of Thomas H Ayers. I cannot identify any Drury Perry/Mary Ayers household or even individuals who could be the parents of these two girls. There is a possibility the "Drury" name is in error in the DC, but the Mary Ayers reference seems solid in light of the 1870 census records. Does anyone have any knowledge of this family? Martha Jane Perry Martin died Nov 1944 TN. This is a real mystery. Lucy E Perry probably married James G/Y Roberts and moved to Limestone County, Alabama, presumably dying there. Thanks for the help!
