Samuel Drayton was born in Philadelphia around 1815. He married a Sarah Hayes (Boothroyd) in Australia when her first husband Andrew Hayes died. The only clues that we have is that they named their children Virginia, Charlotte Esther, Mary Hannah, Francis and Rebecca Drayton. He may have went to South America before coming to Australia. We suspect that he was following gold mining.
