It appears that my great-great grandfather George Middletons mother remarried into the Drayton family. Does anyone have anylinks to the following. This was taken from the 1881 Census for Waddingham. John DRAYTON,Head, Married, age 40 Labourer, born Waddingham Ann DRAYTON, Wife, Married, age 41, Charwoman, b. Wrawby Frank MIDDLETON, Son, single, age 18, Farmservant, b. Twigmore GEORGE MIDDLETON, Son, single, age 14, Farmservant, b. Waddingham, Herbert DRAYTON, son, single, age 6, Scholar,b.Waddingham John DRAYTON, son, single, age 5, Scholar, b. Waddingham Mary Ann DRAYTON, daug, single, age 6 mo. b. Waddingham Living next door was: Dinah Simpson, Head, Widow Age 68, No occupation, b. North Kelsey, Lincs Elizabeth MIDDLETON, grandaughter, single, Age 12, scholar, b. Waddingham. From this I have put the approx dates of birth to be: 1841, 1840, 1863, 1867, 1875, 1876, 1880, 1813 and 1869. This may be helpful to all of those Draytons tracing the family in Lincolnshire. There is also a headstone in Waddingham Church yard for Ann, Wife of John Drayton. Died age 66 died 1900 (I think, working from memory, plus the stone is a bit worn) Thanks Jill Winney
